Marking his triumphant return to form with an in-person ceremony for the first time in three years, the World Architecture Festival (WAF) 2022 revealed its award winners over the course of a three-day event held at Lisbon, Portugal. Now in its 15th edition, the WAF honors exemplary achievements in architecture and has been bringing together the global architecture community for over a decade. Award winners were selected by a jury of luminaries from the global architecture industry, consisting of: Jo Noero, Noero Architects; Tracy Meller, Rogers Stirk Harbor + Partners; Issa Diabaté, Koffi & Diabaté Architects; Murat Tabanlioglu, Tabanlioglu Architects and John Wardle, John Wardle Architects. Organize a series of talks, workshops, exhibits and awards, the illustrious event saw a footfall of 2,000 architects, designers, developers, contractors, vendors and media people. Themed ‘Together’, WAF 2022 was an exploration of how architecture is responding to the renewal of collective life in a post-pandemic world and highlighting commitments to combat climate change.
