· On Sunday evening, December 2, around 10 pm, 300-400 yards of rock and dirt were swept off the hillside and across the road in Pollock at the 188 mile post. The Idaho Department of Transportation cleared one lane for travel, and at press time were in the process of clearing away tons of debris to resume normal traffic.
· GRANGEVILLE: Syringa General Hospital received a $100,000 grant for a community center from the MJ Murdock Trust of Vancouver, Washington. Foundation Director Katie Eimers discovered the possibility of this grant over a year ago when she was searching for grants online. for Eimers Hospital, with the help of Bill Spencer, he was able to secure commitments of approximately another $100,000.
· Wayne MacGregor, a Grangeville attorney, has written a book, “Through These Portals,” a memoir and saga of the Pacific War. MacGregor is having a book launch party and autograph at The Book Shoppe.
· Camas Choristers presents “A Season of Song” as a Christmas gift to Grangeville and surrounding communities.
This program consists of a variety of songs, from secular to sacred, most with a Christmas celebration theme.
· KOOSKIA – Finding ways to raise funds to send CVHS cheerleaders to Dallas was the main topic at the Valley Booster Club meeting held Saturday after the girls’ basketball game with Salmon River.
