St. Louis opens new entertainment center this weekend

S T. LOUIS – A historic St. Louis landmark will soon be given new life as a multi-use entertainment center.
The STL Armory opens its doors to the public this weekend. The family-friendly spot resides in the former home of the 138th Armory of the Missouri Infantry National Guard.
Located in the 3600 block of Market Street in Midtown, the grand opening celebration is scheduled for Friday at 4 p.m.
And there is something for any visitor to enjoy. Some of the main features of The Armory STL include:
- Six acres of indoor space
- 60 foot live entertainment stage
- giant led screen
- local food selections
- double deck slide
- 500 feet of bar space
- Over 90 beers on tap
- More than 40 interactive games
- Michelob ultra-official club
“We want this to be a place where people can relax, kick back and just have fun and enjoy their community,” said Ali Lamb, director of marketing for The Armory STL. “We can’t wait to share this space with St. Louis and the community. It’s going to be amazing, really something that’s never been done before.”
A two-story neon green slide is one of the most notable attractions. The Armory also has designated spaces for cornhole, table tennis, badminton, foosball, and other party game activities.
Admission is free, except when The Armory is hosting a ticketed or charity event.
