I was pleased to learn that Wilma, previously the only bison at the Buffalo Zoo, has been joined by three one-year-old American Plains bison, courtesy of The Wilds Safari Park near Columbus.
Wilma was alone for a long time. At twenty-nine, an advanced age for a bison, she might not have many days left to look at the visitors who watched her solitary existence.
