Argentina beat France to win the 2022 World Cup, after the game went to penalties: Here’s how show business reacted.

Argentina were leading most of the game, after Lionel Messi scored in the 23rd minute followed by a goal from teammate Ángel Di María in the 36th minute. However, Frenchman Mbabbé scored twice in 90 seconds to force the game to extra time.

Argentina retook the lead in the 108th minute through a Lionel Messi goal, but Mbabbé equalized ten minutes later, becoming only the second player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final. The match, which took place at Qatar’s Lusail Stadium, ended in a penalty shootout which Argentina ultimately won.
