Robin Wall Kimmerer will read her book Braiding Sweetgrass.
the Visiting Writers Series Returning this spring with Robin Wall Kimmerer, co-reading author of the year, Braiding Sweetgrass, through a collaboration with the Shared Reading Program.
Kimmerer is presenting this year’s Co-Reading Lecture at 6 p.m. Tuesday through Zoom in As the first Visiting Writer of the Classroom Visiting Writers series.
“[Kimmerer’s] Cameron McGill, co-director of the Visiting Writers Series, said the work focuses on sharing environmental knowledge and providing traditional indigenous and Western environmental knowledge to address climate change and restore our planet’s ecosystem.
There will also be lecture viewing parties that people can attend together. The dates and locations are as follows:
- WSU Pullman / First Year Programs: 5:30 p.m. in Room 202 of the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education
- WSU Pullman / Native American Programs: 6 p.m. on the Spark G-45
- WSU Pullman/Olympia Residence Hall: 6 Evening in the Olympia Street Atrium
- WSU Pullman/School of the Environment: 5:30 p.m. at Troy Hall 309
