“Saturday Night Live” he hosted two visiting MVPs from Pawnee, Indiana on the January 21 episode of the show. in celebration of Aubrey Square making her hosting debut, Amy Poehler reunited with his “Parks and Recreation” co-star to relive April Ludgate and Leslie Knope for the “Weekend Update” segment of the show. The actors returned to their sitcom roles for a moment where April and Leslie discussed the importance of youth getting involved in their local government.

“Everyone should get involved where they live, if you’re young you should get a job as a garbage man or something,” April said deadpan. She then launched herself into a list of local jobs and suggestions on how to lounge around. “He drives a bus. You don’t have to be on time, nobody cares,” she continued. “He works for the water department. You can drain the reservoir and find all the bodies and murder leads. Or just be a dog catcher and just say you couldn’t find any.”

Around this time, Poehler, no stranger to the “Weekend Update” desk, joined Plaza in character as Leslie. “I want to pick your brain on this job, on this show because I used to watch this when Seth Meyers was doing it by himself with no one else and he made it look really easy,” she joked to Colin Jost.
