The Native American Media Alliance (NAMA) announced Applications Open to the eighth annual Native American Television Writers Lab.

The Native American TV Writers Lab is an intensive, multi-week online screenwriters program that prepares original writers for positions at major television networks.
Sponsored by NAMA, A+E Networks, US Bank, and One Small Planet, the lab accepts 10 fellows and will take place from April to May 2023.
Among the lab’s alumni is Shelley Dennis (Choctaw), story editor at ABC Conners; John Timothy (Muscogee Creek), CBS story editor ghosts; and Chris Krenwelg (Choctow), writer for CBS True lies.
Each selected fellow will complete an original pilot program during the multi-week program and receive feedback from their colleagues and an experienced writing tutor.
In addition, scripts will be read by NAMA Network and studio partners and added to the Native Writes database.
In addition, fellows will meet with executive and literary agents from NAMA’s industry partners.
