Back for the second year in a row, a residential park in Riyadh’s posh diplomatic quarter, also known locally as Al Safarat, has been transformed into The Groves.
It is a 35,000 square meter shopping and entertainment area with restaurants, retail stores and a dog daycare.
Throughout the Riyadh Season festival, which runs until March, The Groves is accessed via an online 50 Saudi riyal ticket purchased from the Riyadh Season website.
Tickets and, in some cases, identification details will need to be shown to security guards at the main gates of the Diplomatic Quarter prior to arrival.

1. Dinner and show
While the cuisine on offer is eclectic, The Groves’ four outstanding restaurants offer a dinner and a show.
At Zama Zulu, a South African barbecue menu is combined with regular performances by a traditional dance troupe.
Each client also receives their own maraca.
Mediterranean-inspired dance performances, including flamenco and tango, are presented at the Zodiac Garden, which specializes in Italian and Japanese dishes.
Those seeking a more regional flair should visit Khawaja Yanni, where the Levantine menu is accompanied by a soundtrack of dynamic performances, from soulful oud instrumentals and poetry readings to dabke dance demonstrations.
